Energy savings—the skylights way

Everyone wants to save on energy these days. It is quite common for people to replace their light bulbs with energy saving ones. After all who wants to shell out huge sums of money on energy bills? This has become more popular due to the terrible economic downturns that all of us are facing. Installing skylights is one of the easy ways through which you can save a lot on energy. Skylights not only ensure even distribution of light in a room but it makes sure that there is proper insulation and heat does not seep out. This way you not only save on lighting your room but also on regulating the temperature as well. However, no matter how tech savvy your skylight may be, if you haven’t got it installed appropriately, you are bound to lose a lot on heat insulation. The best way to make sure that there is no seepage is to use spray-foam insulation in the attic space. Spray-foam insulation fills in every cavity in the area and ensures there is no seepage of air at all. The air inside the room remains at the temperature it is supposed to be.
