A
skylight is a trendy and marvelous way to make your property look outstanding. A skylight is great to illuminate the house by allowing a significant amount of light into the room. They are ideally suitable for flat and sloped roofs and can be easily maintained. But, installing the right type of skylight is essential, as things can go completely wrong and may cause a problem in the future.
For flat roofs, a dome shaped skylight is recommended. The dome shape characteristic makes it easy for draining rain water off the skylight and helps in its upkeep. However, if a flat skylight were to be installed, because of the poor draining of water, the skylight would get damaged and may even cause a fiasco in the future.
Another factor, which must be kept at mind, is the pitch of the roof. Some skylights may not be suitable for low pitch roofs and they are not suggested for installation. To measure the pitch of the roof, it is better to hire a qualified installer.
There are three types of flat skylight roofs available in the market, which are quite famous. They are- combination roof lines, pyramid skylights and tinted glass skylights.
